• You want the flexibility of exiting with a diploma to enter the workforce earlier

To start on this pathway, you'll need

• Australian Year 12 or equivalent

Where this pathway leads

• Year 1 of the related CQU bachelor degree
• Graduate Certificate in Research (if you also have a minimum of three years relevant professional experience and an IELTS score of 6.5 with no band less than 6 and other requirements)

Entry into the Master of Business Administration (MBA) normally requires an Australian undergraduate degree and at least three years of work experience in a management capacity. CQUniversity provides an alternative entry into the MBA if you successfully complete the

• Graduate Certificate in Business Administration and
• Graduate Diploma in Business Administration

Entry into the graduate certificate can be obtained through five years of relevant work experience or a combination of diploma and two years relevant work experience.

Entry into the Master of Social Work (Qualifying) normally requires an Australian undergraduate degree in human services, social sciences, or a related discipline.

CQUniversity provides a supportive pathway for students from diverse academic backgrounds. You can begin with the Graduate Certificate in First Nations Public Health, which adds just 0.5 years to your study and provides the foundational knowledge and skills you need as a pathway to the Master of Social Work (Qualifying).

A Graduate Certificate in Research is available to help you progress to a research higher degree.

This pathway option is ideal if:

• You don't meet the admissions requirements for a research higher degree
• You are an industry professional to gain advanced research skills to further your career
• Would like to hone your research and investigative skills prior to starting your research higher degree studies.

To start on this pathway, you'll need

• a completed bachelor degree in any discipline from an Australian university or equivalent
• a recognised diploma with a minimum three years relevant professional experience; or
• minimum of five years relevant professional experience and formal skills or training to satisfy the Research Higher Degrees Committee of their capacity to undertake the qualification.

Where this pathway leads

• Year 1 of Master of Research or a doctoral degree

This pathway provides a unique opportunity to customise content that aligns with your professional background and/or research interests. 

Upon completion, you can seamlessly transition into a research higher degree at CQUniversity or another university.
