Nursing Pathways

As a dual-sector university, we offer multiple entry points to a nursing career:

• Diploma of Nursing – Become an enrolled nurse through vocational training.
• Bachelor of Nursing – Qualify as a registered nurse, with flexible study options (full-time in three years or part-time up to seven years), ideal for those balancing work and study, including students in rural and remote areas.
• Graduate Certificate in Re-entry to Nursing – A six-month (full-time) or one-year (part-time) program for domestic registered nurses returning to practice after more than five years.
• Postgraduate Nursing Courses – Specialize in areas such as correctional nursing, mental health nursing, and clinical nursing to advance your career.

Midwifery

Registered nurses can fast-track their midwifery career with the 1.5-year Bachelor of Midwifery (Graduate Entry), featuring:

• Residential schools and industry placements to build practical skills.
• Comprehensive training to prepare graduates for the demands of modern midwifery.
